The Music
There are many styles of blues guitar. These styles are separated by the type of guitar that is used to play the blues -acoustic and electric. I have no knowledge of electric guitars. My forte is acoustic guitar and traditional American folk music which includes Country Blues, Bluegrass and Old Time music. My first music CD/DVD is a Country Blues CD which includes Piedmont and Delta styles. The Piedmont style is from the East Coast of the USA and the Delta style is from the Mississippi Delta region. Please take time to read about these styles and the guitar players who moved me and made these genres famous.
I have included an "INSTRUCTIONAL DVD" along with the music hoping that some folks would enjoy learning some of the songs and keeping this tradition alive. The music is not easy to play, but the satisfaction that one will get from learning to play this style- there are no words to describe the feeling. The feel of the guitar in my hands, the touch of my fingers plucking the strings, the sounds that I hear when this happens is just so exciting- you'll understand after you master your first "Country Blues" tune. I'll be able to see it on your face as it vibrates your soul.
I will include some "FREE LESSONS" on this website to help you get started and I am hoping that some younger folks try to learn these styles to keep the music alive, be patient!
